Pretense

- Solid or Hollow? -

"Pretense"のコレクションは都市の中にいる人間の営みから着想を得ています。人間の活動なくしては成り立たない人工的な自然である都市は消費によって継続をしていく一方、当たり前に享受しているそれらは実態はあれど「虚像 =peretence 」であることがほとんどであり、 意味をなさないものばかりです。しかしその懸命な人間の活動は純粋さも孕んでいて、答えのない複雑な美しさが同居しているように思えます。

The “Pretense” collection is inspired by the activities of people in the city. The city, an artificial nature that would not exist without human activity, continues to exist through consumption, while most of the things we take for granted are “false images = peretence” and have no meaning. However, the human activity is also filled with purity, and there seems to be an unanswerable and complex beauty living in the same room.
